Abstract :
The pottery art of Uttar Pradesh is an important part of Indian handicrafts and cultural heritage. It is a traditional technique which, through craftsmanship and creativity, reflects social values, religious beliefs, and cultural traditions. In the context of tourism and handicraft development, pottery art not only enhances economic prosperity but also contributes to cultural preservation and the empowerment of local communities.
This study analyzes the major pottery art traditions of Uttar Pradesh, their production centers, and their tourism potential. The study concludes that with proper promotion, training, and conservation, the traditional pottery art of Uttar Pradesh can gain recognition at the international level and can become a strong foundation for tourism development and the strengthening of the rural economy.
